The 2025 Fortify Cybersecurity Education Series focuses on providing information to businesses and other organizations in Hawaii that they can use to improve their defenses against cyber-attacks. This series seeks to provide practical information that can be implemented whether or not an organization has a dedicated IT or cybersecurity team.
This year’s series will focus on the following topics.
- Human elements of Cybersecurity
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) – a Zero Trust journey
- Vulnerability Management
- Security on Demand Incident Response
Each of these topics will be covered in two sessions spaced about a month apart. The first session will provide information on threats and approaches for defending against them. Materials will be made available that your organization can use to assess your readiness against the threats described. This session will be held online.
The second session, a month later, will bring the same attendees back together to discuss how ready their organization is based on the materials provided and what (if any) gaps they are planning to address. This session is participatory, and attendees are expected to interact with each other and the moderators. This session will be in person with a remote attendance option.
These sessions are free to any Hawaii business or resident who is interested in improving their cybersecurity defenses. These sessions are brought to you by CyberHawaii, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as well as other government agencies such as the FBI and Hawaii Office of Homeland Security.
